The new Mini-Switch LB 471 from Berthold Technologies is one of the more advanced level switches based on the radiometric measuring principle. For many years this measuring principle has proven itself successful and reliable in many standard as well as extremely difficult applications. The new level switch has two modes of operation:
1: Standard Mode, where commissioning is quick and simple and this mode can be used for most standard applications.
2: Professional Mode, where there is alternative manual data entry to otherwise automatic calculated parameters, automatic compensation of the empty count rate for gas pressured vessels, password protection, timely notification of required source changes, modification log, error log, and other functions.
GM Detectors, NaI Detectors and the sensitive Super-Sens detector from Berthold Technologies can be operated with the LB 471. The radiometric level switch system is not in contact with the measured medium and is maintenance free. The unit is fail-safe - and ATEX and FM certified versions are available. All Berthold level gauges and switches incorporate automatic source decay compensation. Mecosa is the sole representative for Berthhold Technologies in South Africa.
