Festo is again running its MERSETA accredited Didactic courses that combine theory with practice. Here is a breakdown of the courses on offer this March:

Basic pneumatics

The objectives of low cost automation, pneumatic symbols and other general pneumatic principles and will run from 15-17 March in Johannesburg, 1-3 March in Cape Town, 17-17 March in East London and 22-24 March in Vereeniging.

Electro pneumatics

Electrical principles and symbols, control methods and fault-finding procedures and will run from 1-3 March in Johannesburg and 22-24 March in Durban.

Programmable logic controllers (PLCs)

PLC Control principles, familiarisation, programming and related material and will run from 8-10 March in Johannesburg.

Basic hydraulics

Basic hydraulic principles, symbology and general concepts and will run from 29-31 March in Johannesburg and 8-10 March in Durban.

Mechatronics 1

Function and application of actuators, application and selection of sensors, role of controllers and control software, system integration and documentation as well as case studies and networking and will run from 28-31 March in Johannesburg.
