The Hach sc100 Controller from PREI Instrumentation has a family of compatible digital sensors, which effectively minimises component count and simplifies installation, setup, training, and maintenance. Facilities can gain enhanced data communication and management options, and realise lower cost of purchase and ownership.
The sc100 Controller accepts any two sensors - in mix-or-match arrangement - from the selection pH, ORP, conductivity, dissolved oxygen, turbidity, suspended solids, nitrates, chlorine and phosphate. Each sensor is designed for simple 'plug-and-play' connection, ready for deployment without special cabling, configuration or software.
The controller is housed in a rugged, NEMA-4X/IP66 metal enclosure with compact, 1/2 DIN dimensions. It provides operators menu-driven software for sensor control and interface functions. A built-in datalogger stores readings from the sensors, collecting data as frequently as every 15 minutes, for up to six months, along with calibration and verification data points, alarm history, and instrument setup changes in CSV format. Control interface includes three form 'C' alarm contacts and two independent PID functions.
Communications using Modbus/RS485, Modbus/RS232, Profibus DP, or LonWorks protocols are available to provide realtime data to scada or PLC systems. Operators find further convenience and control capability using wireless (infrared) data download to a Personal Digital Assistant (PDA) or handheld PC.
