Spirax-Sarco acquires Mitech and PCT

Spirax-Sarco Engineering, based in the UK, has acquired the entire issued share capital of Actuators & Controls and Proportional Control Technology.
Spirax-Sarco is a multinational company renowned for its market leadership in steam equipment and provides knowledge, service and products for the control and efficient use of steam and other industrial fluids worldwide.
Actuators & Controls, trading as Mitech, is a privately owned company based in Johannesburg specialising in the design and manufacture of globe control valves, pneumatic actuators, desuperheaters and allied equipment for the process industry. The acquisition includes Mitech's range of specialist control valves and actuators for steam and high-pressure industrial processes and the PCT range of control instrumentation.
Through its subsidiary, Spirax-Sarco South Africa, Spirax-Sarco has an established presence in the South African market that will be used to promote the Mitech and PCT ranges to a broader customer base both locally and overseas. The Mitech and PCT ranges will continue to be manufactured in South Africa and complement Spirax-Sarco's existing range of control and instrumentation products.
