Compact DC drive
July 2005
Motion Control & Drives
With a footprint of just 35 mm x 105 mm, Sprint Electric's new range of DC drives fit easily into existing control panel or can save space in new designs. The controller's slim design saves space and allows placement adjacent to other control panel components. Easy access to drive adjustments, plug on screw terminals and the DIN-rail-mounting package mean that these controllers clip into place without needing further engineering.
The non-isolated drives are designed for use with permanent magnet or shunt wound DC motors. Power ratings range from 550 W to 1,8 kW at 180 V d.c. Despite their small size, dual voltage supply and selectable AVF or tacho feedback are some of the standard features. The new controllers are part of an integrated range of analog or digital products, which includes units specified from 370 W to 265 kW.
Sprint Electric, founded in 1987, offers a wide range of DC motor control units, with over 50 models covering both single-phase and three-phase, regenerative and non-regenerative applications. From low voltage servo performance controller to highly sophisticated fully digital three-phase DC variable speed drive of many hundreds of amps, Sprint Electric products meet the demands of countless industrial applications around the globe. Sprint Electric is provides innovative products backed up by a high level of customer service to the worldwide industrial market.
