A range of low voltage, pump motor protection relays has the ability to protect the motor at any given time of operation. NewElec's KA range is designed to protect pump motors while allowing the pump to operate at its optimum rating. The compact relays are chassis mounted and are both reliable and user-friendly.
Protection is provided against locked rotor, underloads, sustained and cyclic overloads and unbalanced load conditions. The KA relays also protect against phase loss, phase rotation, overvoltage and undervoltage. Additional benefits include a thermal memory; user selectable auto reset and latched LED trip indication.
The KA relays are powered directly from the main circuit voltage and this mains voltage is auto-detected by the relay providing phase rotation, overvoltage and undervoltage protection at 10% on the 400 V or 525 V main circuit supply voltage. The protection current ranges from 0,1 to 200 A, while the integrated current transformers permit direct connection into the main circuit of the protected motor for currents up to 25 A.
