Midland Manufacturing Company is offering a newly designed pressure relief valve, providing the highest flow rates available to the rail car industry segment handling anhydrous ammonia.
Distributed in southern Africa by Dupleix Liquid Meters (DLM), the new pressure relief valve adds major benefit to shippers, builders and lessors alike as the reduction of NAR's (non-accidental release) achieved by using stainless steel for critical sealing surfaces only, such as seats and retainers. A stainless steel overlay and retainer prevents the rust build up and corrosion, commonly experienced in ammonia service and at a cost slightly above carbon steel. Wire seals yield a temper-evident design; quality assurance is enabled with the use of serial numbers for traceability purposes.
Midland Manufacturing Company designs and manufactures top and bottom transfer valves, pressure relief valves, and level measurement devices for the railroad tank car, ISO storage container, and marine barge industries.
