Phoenix Contact has expanded its product line in unmanaged switches: The FL Switch 4TX/FX switch with four twisted pair ports and one fibre-optic port (multimode) as well as the FL Switch 8TX with eight twisted pair ports are new to the product line that includes the FL Switch 5TX Ethernet switch, which at only 45 mm in width has five twisted pair ports. All models have a zero-voltage signalling contact as well as a pluggable and coded voltage supply.
Low-cost switches are increasingly being used because of the advantages they offer with respect to collision-free data traffic and the connection of any Ethernet devices with 10 and 100 Mbps.
