Real Time Solutions, a company whose core business is the development, manufacture and sale of GSM & RF-based data management hardware and software systems, reports having recently made significant strides in the industry with regards to new innovative ideas on how to make data capture via GSM and RF networks more feasible. With the backing of Vodacom, Real Time Solutions can offer data across a wide variety of networks thus enabling the end user control of field equipment anywhere in the world.

Real Time Solutions' says that its new GSM/GPRS data transfer modules have been taking the industry by storm. The devices offer remote monitoring as well as total mobility, as far as voice, fax or Internet is concerned. Taking the approach of not trying to re-invent the wheel, Real time Solutions has elected to rather enhance a technology, and make it cost effective, stable and capable of withstanding South African conditions.

R1,5 million tender awarded

Remote Monitoring and Control, a division of Real Time Solutions, was recently awarded a R1,5 million tender to supply the RF telemetry system to the UGU regional council. Here a combination of RF and GSM is being used. The fact that Real Time Solutions hardware and scada development is done in house, makes the transition between the two platforms that much more efficient and cost effective.
