Change in Control Roadshow programme
May 2005
News
Penmac Exhibitions has announced an agreement that has been reached with the Vaal University of Technology (VUT) to stage a joint Technology Exhibition and Conference. The Exhibition will take place over two days on 6 and 7 September and in addition to control and instrumentation will include information technology.
In preparation for this initiative the VUT consulted with many of its exhibitors and other role players, including the SAIMC, and support from the industry is looking positive, as many have already committed themselves to participating in this event.
The parties have already put together an extensive awareness campaign for the show which will include canvassing of appropriate visitors and sponsors via print and radio media, as well as direct marketing to existing databases held by both organisers.
The venue for the show is not finalised as yet, as it will depend on the number of exhibitors that take up this marketing opportunity. Two possible venues have been identified, these being the Emerald Resort and the Emfuleni Conference Centre.
The date of the original Penmac Vaal Show has been changed to accommodate the University's requirements. Additional branding opportunities will be made available to exhibitors at the exhibition as well as at the conference, which will run concurrently. In view of the change of the Vaal Show date, the Lichtenburg and Klerksdorp shows will be moved to 12 and 13 October respectively. Further details of the event will be communicated in due course.
