Yokogawa Electric Corporation has announced the establishment of Yokogawa Electric International (Yokogawa International). As of 1 April, 2005 this Yokogawa Group company will function as the headquarters for the industrial automation (IA) business in all regions other than Japan, China, South Korea, and Taiwan.
Yokogawa aims to become the top global player in the IA industry by 2010. The key to success is growth in markets worldwide. The new company, which is based in Singapore and monitors world markets from a global perspective, will be in charge of international sales administration including strategy formulation and the setting and management of objectives, global engineering service administration, and global business management.
The posts of president and senior vice president will be held by directors sent from Japan. While focusing Yokogawa International on global activities, the directors will make effective use of the Group's global resources to accelerate the expansion of Yokogawa's business.
