During the last quarter of 2004, Krohne South Africa launched its new range of instrumentation. Krohne reports that this new range of instrumentation has proved as successful as the previous, with users being suitably impressed with the technological advancements, ease of use and self-diagnostic capabilities. From the 3 x 100% diagnostics, liner deformation alert, electrode scaling etc. on the electromagnetic flowmeters, the greater than 10 year lifespan on transducers in its ultrasonic flowmeter range, the easy 'wizard' set-up of the non-contact and contact radar level devices and the single straight tube mass flowmeter that is claimed to be the most reliable and most accurate in the world.
Krohne designed and introduced its new range based on research conducted with its existing users. The needs and requirements of these users were inputted during the design phase. Prototypes were then installed at certain users for further evaluation and improvement. The end result is a range that has been designed around the needs of its users. Krohne believes in building and maintaining strong relations with its customers and users and this is just one of the strategies employed.
