Held at Fairlawns in Sandton on 19 January 2005, Rockwell Automation's forum was a great opportunity for senior-level professionals in the manufacturing industry to gain insight into, and take advantage of Rockwell Automation's breadth of solutions.
Process manufacturing companies such as life sciences, brewing, food and beverage, personal care companies are all facing a similar challenge: How to drive growth, and simultaneously manage profitable product portfolios, regulatory demands and cost reduction. The Rockwell Automation 'Manufacturing and Technology and Strategy Forum' looked at emerging global trends and best practices in process industry product supply.
An ever-increasing number of pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies are seeing the far-reaching benefits of using manufacturing execution systems (MES) in general and manufacturing automation and information solutions in particular, as useful tools in achieving their business objectives.
The forum was a great opportunity for individuals seeking to reduce activities and personnel costs, increase productivity and efficiency, enhance flexibility and optimise customer satisfaction. Delegates also benefited from information on how to reduce capital back-up, improve the quality of the documentation, increase personnel and client motivation, and improve quality and compliance.
Guest speaker, Roddy Martin, vice president of the Process Industry Research of AMR Research, identified business benefits and practical solution implementation issues, while sharing his insights and wealth of experience.
