X-Change 2005
March 2005
News
Futuristix-Wonderware's user group conference has grown from strength to strength over the last 12 years and has become a premier event on SA's industrial automation calendar. Increasingly, the conference has attracted the attention of overseas professionals and has become a truly international event. So much so that Wonderware EMEA has decided to hold its distributor principals meeting immediately after X-CHANGE 2005 at Sun City in April.
The Wonderware EMEA principals meeting will be held on the 20-22 April, following the X-Change 2005 User Group conference (17-20 April). "We are pleased that Wonderware EMEA has chosen this venue for their prestigious Principals Meeting," says Mike le Plastrier, director of Futuristix, a member of the EOH group of companies and principal SA distributor for the Wonderware range of industrial automation and MES solutions as well as change management software from MDT.
"The SA end-user and system integrator industrial automation community is responsible for some of the leading implementations in the world including those based on the ArchestrA framework and its Industrial Application Server - a central theme for this year's 13th X-Change User Group Conference. Local professionals involved with this level of plant intelligence sophistication are naturally curious of international trends while international leaders are equally curious of our local achievements. Hence the growing international nature of X-Change."
X-Change 2005 will host numerous local and international speakers including Mike Bradley, president of Wonderware. The conference will also feature five informative streams with 48 breakout sessions including 12 user presentations from across the world, an extensive expo of solutions from local system integrators and hands-on training on the latest solution releases.
"While Supervisory and scada are always key aspects of the Wonderware offering, MES and Plant Intelligence have become just as important and this will feature strongly at the conference," says le Plastrier. "This year features more new functionality than ever seen at any previous conference - excitement will be the order of the day." Interested parties may book their tickets using the Futuristix website.
