Micropower Instrumentation is under new management with Sagarem Nair at its helm - and now joins a small group of control and instrumentation companies that are 100% black-owned.

Sagarem is a professional engineer, MSc (Elec Eng) Wits, and has had 21 years experience in the industry, including being deputy CEO of Anglo American Electronics Lab for several years before joining various business enterprises. His experience includes, electronic design work (analog, digital and microprocessor), IT services, project management, business development and management and finances - and running his own company.

Founded in 1985, Micropower currently manufactures, imports and supplies building management systems and control and instrumentation products to a broad range of industries. It also provides project management, installation and commissioning services. Micropower represents a variety of leading manufacturers of industrial control products, including timers and counters, sensors, panel meters, temperature and PID controllers, and HMI. Micropower Head Office is in Kya Sands, Randburg near Johannesburg, with regional distributors in Witbank, Secunda, Port Elizabeth, East London, Cape Town and KwaZulu-Natal.
