Penmac grows
February 2005
News
Cape Town, Port Elizabeth, Mossel Bay, Witbank, Phalaborwa, Secunda, Vaal Triangle, Kimberley, Lime Acres and Kuruman - it sure has been a busy year. The Control Roadshow has truly been on the road this year taking the very latest in control instrumentation to all corners of the nation.
Penmac has had over 2000 visitors to the shows in 2004. These are all personally invited technical staff from over 300 companies. In addition to this there have been approximately 150 000 visitors to the Penmac website in the last 12 months.
Through the various shows over the years Penmac has built up a large database of people involved in the control and instrumentation industry. These visitors are important stakeholders in the exhibition industry as they are the ultimate buyers and users of the products. What is really special about them is that they are almost exclusively technical people who are knowledgeable and understand the needs of their business and can make the right decisions about systems and technology.
Penmac has taken on more staff and is launching into a series of new strategies. Malcolm Finlay's new partner is Theo van Rooyen, who, along with his wife Lesley, joined the company on 1 September 2004. "We have been friends for many years and they bring along some welcome skills in management and administration that will help us to grow the business and serve our clients more effectively," said Finlay.
Penmac's plans for 2005 include the following:
* Targeted shows for the C&I industry in isolated areas.
* Expanding the shows to new areas in KwaZulu-Natal.
* Improved marketing for its clients online and through other media.
* Increased focus on the audio-visual side of Penmac.
* Increased use of state-of-the-art audio-visual systems to improve the marketing impact of its clients.
Audio-visual services include:
* High impact visual presentations using state-of-the-art wide-screen technology and systems.
* Audio and visual support for events (sound systems, video and audio recording, music, lighting, projectors, screens).
* Professional presentation development services (layout, content, audio and video graphics).
* Video and audio editing services.
* Permanent sound, video, projection and watchout system installations.
