Sasol switchgear contract for RBF
February 2005
News
Linde of Germany recently contracted RBF Technology for the design, manufacture and installation of MV and LV switchgear systems to Sasol Secunda's ethylene plant U24 revamp.
In both cases, RBF will supply the highly regarded Natus range of switchgear systems to add further to the already substantial installed base of this switchgear type.
Johan Basson, MD of RBF, says that the Natus Energon system was recently improved with the introduction of a fully encapsulated vertical dropper busbar system, which significantly reduces the possibility of arc faults, and features an automatic shutter mechanism. The new design has been tested for fault levels up to 80 kA.

The Natus products offer high levels of safety, versatility and technical integrity to make it a preferred choice in high-risk applications such as petrochemical plants.
