The 'LED compact' signal pillar from Rittal is an optimum safety feature for machines and plant, providing bright visual indication of any faults that may arise. With an installed height of just 177 mm, the unit is especially compact and thus demands less space than other modular signalling systems. The integrated red, yellow and green filters permit the displaying of all significant machine states. When it comes to costs, the LED lamp, with its service life of at least 70 000 hours, is a real energy-saving alternative. It requires no maintenance and is less expensive in its upkeep than a signal pillar with incandescent lamps, where a bulb replacement is generally to be expected every 1000 operating hours. The ready-to-connect complete solution, finally, serves to reduce assembly times and storage costs.
The LED compact signal light can be controlled via PLC and is also suitable for tough industrial environments thanks to its enhanced protection to IP 65. Mounting holes identical to those of the modular signal pillars ensure a simple exchange for the new type. Upon request, the LED compact pillar is also available in 1 to 4-stage versions with additional blue and white light filters and with an integrated acoustic element.
