The Landmark Technic is a high precision, digital, DIN-rail mounted signal-processing unit. It provides economic conditioning of any Land System 4 thermometer output signal. The intelligent microprocessor-based thermometer signal processor provides a complete range of thermometer signal conditioning functions such as peak picker, averager, track and hold, and alarm outputs.
Landmark Technic has a 4 to 20 mA output, a remote input for track and hold functions, and emissivity/non-greyness adjustment. Set-up is performed via a PC and configuration software, and the optional Landmark indicator provides an easy to read digital display of the measured temperature.
With standard electrical outputs the unit is easily integrated into OEM and end user process control systems. RS232C and Profibus serial communications offer a remote interface between the processor and the PC for monitoring process variables configuring the system parameters.
The Averager is used to smooth rapidly fluctuating changes in the measurement signal, and its time constant can be adjusted from 50 ms to 512 s. The Peak Picker is used when measuring the temperature of intermittent targets and its decay rate is adjustable from 0,25 to 512°/s. The track and hold function is provided with remote input via a voltage free relay or switch contacts. An optional DIN-rail mounted DPU power supply unit provides the required 30 V to 50 V d.c. power supply.
