Adroit sponsors up-and-coming golfer

December 2004 News Security Services & Risk Management

While golfing at San Lameer, Graeme Campbell, FD for local supervisory control and data acquisition developers, Adroit Technologies, discovered up-and-coming golf prospect Mzwandile 'Richard' Sikobi. Sikobi is a temporary playing member of the PGA whose aspirations to play as a fully-fledged member of the SA PGA tour had, up until now, been stunted by a lack of funding.

Sikobi and manager Themba Mazibuko met with Campbell and Adroit's MD, Dave Wibberley while Sikobi was in Johannesburg for a PGA qualifier to cement the sponsorship arrangement. "Richard is immensely talented, and I believe he will be someone to watch out for in the future," says Campbell, "his technique is excellent and he has great enthusiasm for the game".

Adroit's corporate social responsibility programme actively focuses on championing talented sportsmen and women from previously disadvantaged backgrounds, as well as subsidising its scada product for use in tertiary education development initiatives and community-based projects.
