The G306 (like its other family members) comes with Ethernet port as standard, USB connection, support for up to five high-speed serial ports, integrated protocol converter, built-in webserver, standard CompactFlash socket and one-click, MS-Excel compatible, data logging activation.
Innovative options as GPS positioning and tracking as well as through-programming of PLCs and other devices make this new HMI a cut above the rest.
The standard integrated protocol converter positions this HMI as one able to function as the centre-point of data gathering from various devices, all with their own languages. The G3 converts them into one language and relays the data to the back office, making the G3 indispensable for moving data.
The Crimson 2 software package supports Russian, Thai, Korean, Chinese and any other language supported by the Unicode character set. Adjusting the panel's operator language to meet the user's preference is quite easy, this permits OEMs to use a single database when targeting multiple geographic markets. This means that panels may be assembled at time of shipment, with the displays customised with the language needed for the customer.
An extensive symbol library has been added to Red Lion's Crimson 2.0 programming software. This enhancement provides a selection of over 4000 industrial and manufacturing visualisations, including pushbuttons, tanks, motors and machinery, plus over 60 other categories. With just a click of a mouse, OEMs can add professional quality graphics to their G3 display pages.
