DCIS confirmed master SA distributor for EMS
November 2004
News
Escort Memory Systems (EMS), a leader in radio frequency identification (RFID) products and network interface modules, has confirmed that DCIS based outside of Johannesburg, is EMS' qualified partner for the South African market. DCIS is responsible for all EMS commercial/technical responsibilities for South Africa. Any previous partnership and licence to use EMS' trademarks and trade names has been revoked.
DCIS has over five years of RFID experience in South Africa, and has been involved in supporting numerous EMS automotive installations, including Toyota SA (tag on vehicle), Ford (High Temperature Paint Oven Application), Volkswagen and many others.
EMS has recently launched several products, including long-range high temperature RFID tags (LRP525HTS), a gate antenna that has a read/write range of over two metres (LRP2000), and laundry tags (LRP-P125V) for the garment industry. Customers in the automotive, electronics, pharmaceutical, postal/courier and food processing industries use EMS RFID products and support.
EMS foresees significant growth potential for its RFID solutions in the South African market, and looks forward in supporting DCIS in becoming a predominant RFID provider in South Africa.
