Eurotherm's 5000 Series data management system with master communications can be used with other Eurotherm control products to give an integrated recording and control solution making it suitable for vacuum furnace, carburising, annealing and freeze dryer applications.
The 5180V model has a colour touchscreen and provides an ideal HMI for visualisation of the plant. Controller faceplates can be viewed on the recorder enabling the operator to monitor the controllers as well as to change setpoints and other parameters from a single user interface. Bridge software offers complete remote access to the recorder and hence the controllers. Supporting Modbus master communications over Ethernet and Serial connections, the 5180V offers a simple and powerful solution to securely record data from other instruments or as a central HMI for operator use.
Whether the 5000 is being viewed via its local TFT colour, touchscreen display or remotely on a PC or PDA, it offers a range of standard views and the ability for the user to configure a customised view to best suit his application. Some options include trends, bar graphs, numeric values, mimics, control faceplates and alarm/event views. The device has powerful maths and events functions allowing the user to configure pre-defined actions or buttons. Eurotherm is represented locally by Protea Automation Solutions.
