The new Optiwave 7300 C from Krohne operates over a larger bandwidth. This increases the resolution resulting in higher accuracy. The higher signal dynamics of Optiwave allow the detection even very small changes in level. Agitators and other objects such as struts, inlets, ladders, have less effect on signal reduction. The better signal permits much clearer location of the product's true surface. This allows Optiwave to determine the true level in the tank despite the presence of an agitated surface or foam.
Simple set-up
The gauge is fitted to the tank, wired up and switched on. In the next step Optiwave tests itself to make sure its electronics are working perfectly. The Optiwave wizard guides the user through a simple series of questions to define the tank and the product being measured. In the case where the user does not know what to do, waiting for 10 seconds will result in the help screen prompting the user, telling them what they should do next.

Each device is supplied ex-factory with the appropriate DTM. A DTM (device type manager) is a device driver making available the device functionality independent from the Fieldbus protocol and providing a graphical user interface optimised for device operation and configuration. Simple on-screen and intuitive set-up procedure for devices without a display, or for set up from the central control room.
