Mains-to-DC supply for light curtain

The SGC 1 is a new power supply unit, housed in a sturdy plastic enclosure, which is to be used in conjunction with the SG 1 self-contained light curtain series. The SGC 1 is intended for installations where a DC supply voltage is not available and where an electromechanical relay output is required.

The SGC 1 is available for use with a 230 or 115 V a.c. supply voltage, and supplies a fixed output voltage of 24 V d.c. to the light curtain detectors. The output from the receiver detector can be either NPN or PNP. The unit includes a green power-on indicator and a yellow output indicator.

A special test push button is provided to temporarily disable the transmitter power, imitating an obstruction between the light curtains for test purposes. The unit can also enable or disable the time-out function in the receiver detector, via DIP-switch.
