Combustion specialist strong on project management

July 2004 News News & Events Security Services & Risk Management

In line with its emphasis on effective management of its projects, The Combustion Group has appointed a new project manager. This will enable TCG to offer a high level of service for projects ranging from the more modest up to the millions of rands. The company is currently engaged in two projects for major platinum houses. One is the upgrade of eight calcining and nine drying ovens, including supply, installation and commissioning and the other is the design and building of the first of a series of pre-heat and drying-out ladle stations.

TCG's commitment to offer the safest possible combustion systems is demonstrated by the gas trains and equipment supplied to both of these projects - which comply with the current SANS 74-2:2003 standard. Maxon Wide Range burners and gas train and flame management equipment by Kromschroder were supplied for the calcining and drying ovens and a specially designed high velocity burner with Kromschroder gas train and flame management is being built into the ladle stations. The Combustion Group's in-house Service Department designed and built the flame management panels.
