RBF to supply switchgear to Sishen Mine

Kumba Resources' Sishen Mine in the Northern Cape recently placed an order with RBF Technology in Johannesburg for the manufacture and supply of its B100 LV switchgear assemblies to the mine. The panel replaces the existing switchgear on the HMS coarse drum plant, and includes around 58 drives ranging between 4 kW and 150 kW, all featuring intelligent overloads. Main busbars are rated up to 3200 A, with a high fault level of 65 kA. Installation and commissioning is scheduled to take place in August 2004.
