April 2004 News

Futuristix is holding its software user group conference at Sun City from 9 to 12 May this year. The company believes that there are 10 reasons why the event is being booked up so fast:

1. ISA selected Dr Peter Martin as one of the industry's '50 most influential innovators' - a title that includes such notable personalities as eighteenth-century scientist, James Watt, Bill Gates and the Wright brothers. Dr Martin is a keynote speaker at X-Change 2004.

2. Mike Bradley is CEO of Wonderware USA as well as the Invensys ArchestrA Business Unit. Mike is a keynote speaker at X-Change 2004.

3. Six international and numerous local speakers will be presenting at this industry-leading event.

4. The Conference will herald many new releases including the release of the most significant upgrade to the core InTouch product for the past five years (Comp support members will get this free.)

5. Futuristix will feature presentations on OPC, Microsoft Technologies and collaborative manufacturing.

6. There will be a heavy work schedule of 48 breakout sessions and three keynote addresses (including a keynote address from Microsoft).

7. The Expo Hall will have the leading suppliers from around South Africa.

8. Significant after hours time has been set aside for networking and x-changing ideas.

9. 10 sessions of hands-on training are scheduled inside the Expo Hall.

10. The price includes all conference material, all accommodation at Sun City, all conference entertainment, all meals and all function beverages.

The company has reserved 300 places at Sun City for its delegates. The booking process began filling up at Cascades then it moves on to Sun City Main then down to the Cabanas.
