UPL - a Welsh-based utility consultancy has concluded an agreement in principle with South Africa's Northern Technologies SA, as a result of UPL's recent visit to South Africa under the auspices of Wales Trade International.
The agreement involves Northern Technologies' distribution of the unique fully certified Millennium Busbar electricity distribution system in South Africa and in addition UPL will distribute Northern Technologies' electrical surge protection in the UK and Europe.
The Millennium Busbar systems are fully insulated and encapsulated up to 800 A with a fault rating of up to 60 kA. Said to be safer and more compact than conventional systems, they provide an easy to use method of connecting to most major manufacturers MCBs and MCCBs.
Northern Technologies' compact and highly rated surge protection equipment will in turn be targeted at engineering design groups and the telecoms industry throughout Europe.
