Liquiphant FTL 20, from Endress+Hauser, is a limit switch for any kind of liquid. A compact and rugged design permits installation in places not easily accessible and mounting in any position. The small vibration fork - 38 mm in length - and the threaded connections of ½" and ¾" ensure universal application.
Due to the well-tried and successful 'vibrating fork' measuring principle, Liquiphant FTL 20 features clear advantages as compared with competitive measuring principles, such as capacitance or conductive limit switches, float switches, optic sensors and gap switches. It can be applied, in particular, where these measuring principles are not suitable because of build-up, conductivity, turbulence, currents or air bubbles.
The vibration limit switch is particularly suitable for overspill protection, minimum or maximum detection in coolant or lubricant containers, in cleaning and filtering facilities and dry running pump protection. These applications are required, for example, in plant automation and machine tool construction.
The display in the transparent rear part of the limit switch indicates current switch status or failure. FTL 20 variants are available for PLC, ASI bus or AC connections.
