Synatel's Digimatic features pushbutton calibration, the microprocessor measures system capacitance empty and covered, and automatically creates a setpoint midway between, cutting out all the effort and ensuring proper set-up. The digital display has a manual override feature, should the auto-set not provide optimal results, the user can use the digital display to measure system capacitances, and manually program a setpoint.

Universal voltage operation includes 24 V d.c. - 110 or 230 V a.c. Anti-build-up compensation is provided to compensate for product build-up on the probe. MOVs are provided to discharge static build-up caused by dry powders as often found in the plastics industry. The probe screws into the power-shield using a standard M12 thread. Customers can make their own probes to suit their special conditions. The 0,5 pF capability said to be better than most competition. A remote probe version is available for high temperature, high vibration environments. The unit is ATEXC approved for hazardous dusts. (Note that the Digimatic is not designed for high-pressure applications.)
