Rugged oil-fired, dual-fuel ignitors

Hegwein's ZAE series of oil fired and dual fired igniters are compact in design with integrated ionisation flame monitor and twin spark transformers. All components are contained in a single metal housing and electrical connection occurs via a multipole plug connection. No additional optical flame sensor for ignitor flame supervision is required, nor is there any need for high voltage cable to be laid on site.

The oil and dual fuel igniters, with guaranteed electromagnetic compatibility, offer enclosure ratings of IP54 as standard and IP65 as special versions. Three types are available including oil fired ignitors with a mechanical atomisation, oil fired types with air assisted atomisation, and dual fuel ignitors for either fuel oil or gas. All models feature a compact, rugged and low maintenance design with sizes ranging from 160 kW to 3,6 MW.

Their amplified flame signal is not susceptible to interference and can easily master longer distances of up to 150 m. It can either be used by a Hegwein burner control or flame relay, which has to be integrated into an existing burner management system.

The igniters have a tight and long pilot flame, eliminating the need for automatic retraction systems. Tube lengths are provided according to customer requirements and are available in 10 mm increments.
