Kübler has extended its line of electro-mechanical micro counters and hour meters with 7 digit versions, series K47, K67 and HK47. All types are available for DC voltage supply between 1,5 and 24 V. These impulse counters and hour meters are very reliable and economic pulse and time registers in applications such as kWh meters, gas pumps, vehicles, alarm systems, medical machines, billing systems, gaming machines, printers or copying machines. They will operate between -40 and + 90°C. Compared to LCD counters, they work without any data storage such as a battery or an EEPROM. The products are shock resistant and some versions are immune to magnetic field. This increases EMI and makes the counters tamper proof. The counters are smaller than a matchbox; with a digit size of 5 mm. Various reading positions allow flush or panel mounting and PCB mounting. PCB versions are solderable and wash-proof. Protection to IP varies between IP 65 and IP 66 depending on the version. A high shock resistance is a great advantage of both, impulse counters and hour meters. The design prevents miscounts caused by tampering with the counter, strong vibrations, impact, etc. Kübler also supplies a patented high-end version, which is shockproof as well as 100% magnetic field proof. This is very important for billing systems, etc, where the prevention of fraud is a great concern. A low power consumption of approx 60 mW makes these units suitable for battery operation.
