The comprehensive CIMREX series of operator terminals from Beijer Electronics are designed to meet all requirements for today's industry. The terminals offer flexibility in functionality and focus on user-friendliness when installing, programming and operating. Designed for tough industrial environments, they can withstand oil and water with a typical IP65 rating. Security is addressed by password protection with up to eight levels provided.
The range covers 10 basic models ranging from a simple 2-line text display up to 264 mm LCD colour, touch-screen units. Various function key units are available which are expandable up to four 16-key extended keyboards. Expansion cards for additional memory, printer ports and communication options are also available. All units are programmed with only one programming tool.
Communications
The CIMREX operator terminals can be connected to all major makes of PLC systems eg, Siemens, Allen Bradley, Omron, Mitsubishi and Modicon. Ethernet and Profibus DP is also available. An OPC driver from Beijer Electronics allows for simultaneous connection to many devices for a higher level of control: scada or DCS. Various PLCs and other devices are supported by the OPC driver.
Internet connectivity
The CIMREX terminal can be configured as a Web server. This allows the terminal to send e-mails containing production information or alarms, etc, via the Internet. The Internet browser can also reflect an image of the operator terminal directly; this can then be operated remotely by clicking with the mouse on the buttons as if one was standing in front of the unit.
