Nagasaki IPC has entered the South African IPC market with a range of products for industrial applications. Distributed locally by Cape Town-based Africa Web, the Nagasaki IPC range includes panel PCs, data acquisition modules, industrial rack mount systems, PC/104 components, GPS components, full and half-size SBCs and thin client systems.

Euro Africa Web is spearheading its market entry with a special on its PPC-157-T Panel PC, which features solid aluminium-alloy construction, a 15" TFT display, resistive touch screen, 128 MB of SD-RAM and a 20 GB hard drive.

This system is designed to integrate with any application, through its multiple I/O options including a 10/100 Realtek 8139C Network Controller, two USB ports, four COM ports (One of which is dedicated to the touch screen) and a PCI expansion slot.

The system is built around Nagasaki IPC's NASA-6109VLA SBC, which features the VIA VT8601 and VIA686B chipsets and includes integrated 8MB VGA and DVD-MPEG2 support. This is complemented by comprehensive multimedia capacities in the form of integrated audio and a slimline DVD-ROM Drive. Processing power is provided by a low power VIA CPU running at 1 GHz, while the system is highly scalable with upgrade options available for both memory and hard disk capacities. The front panel is water resistant, conforming to IP65 standard.
