Carl Zeiss appointed distributor for GWT SA

The Sartorius Group is an internationally known manufacturer of high quality weighing equipment. What is not so well known in the South African marketplace is that the products that were once sold under the Philip's Electronic Weighing brand (now GWT) are part of the Sartorius Group.
"It has been some years since Philip's Electronic Weighing provided industrial weighing technology in South Africa and many users are unaware that these hugely reliable and popular products are currently available in this country through Carl Zeiss," says Natalie Sansom, sales manager for the Sartorius Group Products at Carl Zeiss.
"Philip's Electronic Weighing in the Netherlands was responsible for manufacturing the weighing products sold locally until a change of company ownership took place in 1998 and Global Weighing Technology was born. In 1999 Sartorius AG bought this company and Carl Zeiss has now been appointed as the official distributor for GWT SA," said Sansom.
