Ultrasonic gas flowmeter

The SICK/Maihak Flowsic 600 ultrasonic gas flowmeter is designed for bi-directional applications in pipelines. Available from Protea Automation Solutions, it will measure actual volumetric flow rate, actual accumulated volume and gas velocity. The meter is used for control and measurement installations in the process industry, company internal metering and billing, and custody transfer metering. It is in service in power plants, chemical and petroleum plants and the cement and glass industry.

Offering high accuracy, this reliable and maintenance-free instrument is suitable for Ex environments. The free-flow-through design suffers no pressure loss and is suitable for hazardous locations to CSA and ATEX 100, and designed to PED guidelines. Local and remote detailed self-diagnostics and an interface for data transfer are provided. The device may be powered from batteries or a solar panel, as it requires little power to operate.
