M12 connector simplifies the mating of control components

Woodhead Connectivity recently announced details of a new push-on connector designed to speed up and simplify control system connections to sensors installed in enclosed environments.
The Brad Harrison Micro-Push M12 connector allows twist-free coupling of control components freeing up valuable assembly and maintenance time for machines and systems. It provides IP64 protection for automation applications that exist in relatively moderate environments.
Time and space savings are key benefits of the Micro-Push connectors due to a design that incorporates flexible 'threads' which grip the threaded surface of the sensor. The 'push-on installation' characteristics are simplified by aligning an arrow on the body of the connector with the keyway on the mating sensor. There is no need to force fingers into tight spaces, because there is no coupling nut to tighten. The connection offers vibration resistance that virtually eliminates 'back off'.
Micro-Push connectors are suitable for connecting large numbers of proximity sensors directly to the controller, or via junction or multiple outlet receptacle boxes.
The one-piece double-ended cord sets are compatible with all current M12 thread sensor designs and can also be used with existing Brad Harrison Multi-Port interconnection systems and splitter boxes. Micro-Push connectors are available in straight or right-angled forms, in three- or four-pole configurations, and with a choice of cable lengths.
