Citect celebrates its move to larger premises
May 2003
News
On 1 March, Citect moved to a new office building just down the road from its premises in Olivedale, Randburg. Feeling that any excuse for a party was a good one, the staff invited all their friends and had a beerfest and braai to 'break in' the new office, as it were.
At the beginning of 2002 Citect was awarded seven large contracts by De Beers, Kumba Resources and Anglo and had to increase its resources in order to cope with the increase in workload. The company employed a number of local engineers but they also called in some expert resources from Europe and Australia (this is the advantage of being an international company - one can often find under-utilised personnel elsewhere in the world who are more than willing to jump at the chance of a 'working holiday' in Africa).
The new office has a large training facility and an integration floor (for in-house testing prior to delivery) as well as the normal offices and meeting rooms, etc. For those who did not manage to come to the roof wetting, the new address is Meadowbrook Business Park, Jacaranda Road, Olivedale (next to Olivedale Clinic).
