Siemens Axiva is planning and building a filling and freeze-dry system at Chiron Behring for currently marketed vaccines and therapeutic agents of the Chiron Corporation group of companies. The project - which includes rebuilding the clean rooms with the related heating, airconditioning and ventilation systems - will be implemented in an existing building at the Marburg, Germany location. Engineering services provided by Siemens Axiva range from design planning to basic and detail engineering to installation supervision and the qualification of the system. The new filling system must meet FDA requirements as well as European GMP regulations.
