Launch of upgraded advanced positioning module

In launching its new Advanced Positioning Module (APM), LG has taken a significant step in bringing realtime control to the standard factory PLC. The APM mounts on to a conventional LG GM6 or GM4 PLC rack, occupying one slot thereof and operating independently of the PLC cycle time. It eliminates the need for dedicated axis controllers in servo systems, thereby offering a major saving in costs. The servo system controller can now be integrated into a factory PLC rack.

Up to three axes per card can be controlled making the APM a powerful control tool for servo drives employed in X, Y, Z axis systems.
