Held at Emperors Palace this year and attended by over 500 delegates, this year’s Rockwell Automation University reflected up-to-date issues and stimulating ideas on integrated information and automation solutions.
The event focused on the key topics of plant-wide optimisation, integrated architecture, manufacturing convergence, holistic plant safety, intelligent motor control and automation software.
Professionals from various fields, including engineering, IT, management, purchasing and maintenance, were offered 16 hands-on sessions, 10 demonstration sessions and 27 presentations during the course of the two days. Given the opportunity, delegates tailor-made their programmes to consult with Rockwell experts and network with colleagues in similar fields. A large exhibition area allowed visitors to experience a wide selection of Rockwell Automation equipment, as well as interact with some of the company’s system integrators and partners.
After a good day filled with technology the evenings proved just as popular with guests being entertained by John Vlismas and Trevor Noah, who brought the days’ events to an amusing end.
