VEGA Controls SA announced the local launch of the VEGA Inventory System (VIS) at a function held at Montecasino on 24 July. With VIS, VEGA combines its expertise in level measurement technology with a sophisticated communication platform to ensure reliable resupply from a distance.

Measurement on the move
The basis for a fully functioning inventory management system, whether global or regional, is reliable measurement data and a centralised information platform. These are the key areas that can guarantee smooth-running, economical logistics in which all transport and storage facilities are optimally utilised. This applies to suppliers with globally-distributed customers, as well as to large companies that have to supply their own subsidiaries.
With VIS, the current inventory status can be determined at a glance. This means the user can be certain that ordered replenishments will arrive on time. The function gave local customers an opportunity to get to know VIS through experiencing it in person. Guests were offered the opportunity to try out the digital device communication system of the future by visiting product manager, Russell Astley, from VEGA Grieshaber.
