Flow Measurement & Control

Calorimetric flowmeter for liquids and gases

October 2017 Flow Measurement & Control

The SA volumetric flow sensor operates using the calorimetric measuring principle with measuring elements as well as the heat source located on the measuring tip. The physical effect used is that a flowing medium absorbs heat energy and conducts it away and the resulting temperature change is an indication of flow.

The new SA-type sensor has been designed to detect and measure flow and temperature even in large internal pipe diameters up to 400 mm. Therefore it serves different applications. Switching outputs, analog signals and IO-Link provide various options for further signal processing, which means that the user is best equipped for Industry 4.0. A serial number on the device enables unambiguous traceability.

Part numbers: IO-Link configurable: SA5000, SA4100, SA4300 and SA2000. Without IO-Link: SA2004, SA5004, SA4104 and SA4304.
