Honeywell Process Solutions has announced that it will provide full automation and safety systems and serve as integrated main automation contractor (I-MAC) for a new liquefied natural gas (LNG) facility being built in Eastern Canada to process North American natural gas for international export.
Located on the eastern shore of Canada in Nova Scotia, Pieridae Energy’s Goldboro LNG project will include a natural gas liquefaction terminal and facilities for LNG storage and marine export. Honeywell is responsible for designing and installing the DCS, safety instrumented systems, fire and gas systems, and operator training simulator for the project. Honeywell will also be responsible for helping Pieridae integrate all plant infrastructure to the business enterprise systems. Startup is expected in 2021.
