February 2016 News

Specialised Exhibitions Montgomery has announced the launch of a brand new event for the security, construction and industrial market sectors in the Eastern Cape, one of the fastest growing economic regions of South Africa.

The Security Construction & Industrial Technology Exhibition and Conference (SCITEC) is a dedicated conference and exhibition, specifically targeted to the fastest growing industry sectors in the burgeoning Eastern Cape, a region which has been earmarked by government for significant infrastructural and economic development.

“SCITEC 2016 will be the largest showcase of technology and innovation for the security, construction and industrial sectors,” says Joshua Low, portfolio director, Specialised Exhibitions Montgomery. “The Eastern Cape has been identified by government, as well as local and international investors, as a region that that offers unparalleled economic potential.”

He goes on to say that this region offers world-class ports and harbours, and a growing motor vehicle manufacturing sector, which accounts for a significant portion of country’s overall manufacturing and GDP contribution. In addition, East London and Port Elizabeth boast the two largest industrial development zones in South Africa.

“As the organisers of Securex South Africa, Interbuild Africa and the KZN Industrial Technology Exhibition, Specialised Exhibitions Montgomery, prides itself as an industry leader in presenting the biggest trade events in Africa for the security, fire, construction and building services and industrial sectors,” says Low.

The SCITEC Conference will provide an unrivalled educational platform, aimed specifically at management and senior decision-makers across these key industry sectors. This is the ideal place to gain insight into all of the latest technical information and industrial know-how needed to take your business to the next level. The SCITEC Exhibition will showcase the most innovative products, services and solutions for a growing industry sector to thousands of potential customers and investors.

For exhibitors the show offers an opportunity to build brand visibility and showcase innovations to a targeted audience. For visitors, it will provide an opportunity to experience the latest innovations from hundreds of leading local brands. “We believe that this show will provide an important platform to create exciting new business opportunities for the local market,” concludes Low.
