VEGA Controls SA has made a substantial donation to the Spanish Dance Society, a registered charity and NPO based in Johannesburg. Formed 50 years ago in South Africa, the Society teaches children and young adults from all walks of life the dynamic dance form of regional, classical and flamenco Spanish dance. The Society also trains teachers.
The dance training syllabus was formulated in 1965 to preserve the art of Spanish dancing in South Africa and is now being taught in countries across the world, from Australia to the United States of America. In South Africa the programme is used to uplift vulnerable youth and train teachers from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. The Society’s work is dependent on corporate and personal donations.
VEGA Controls SA hopes that through its sponsorship many young people will have an opportunity to be trained in Spanish dance and find success in their lives.
