GE and Powertech join forces for world class solutions

1 May 2015 News

GE Intelligent Platforms and Powertech System Integrators (PTSI) have joined forces to serve the South African market with GE Intelligent Platforms’ world class products and solutions. These comprise small to high end process automation controllers and the Proficy software suite consisting of scada software, high-end data Historian software, distributed control systems, manufacturing execution systems and predictive asset health monitoring.

GE Intelligent Platforms appointed PTSI as their distribution partner to focus on growth and specific market needs. PTSI will work closely with local systems integrators, OEMs and EPCs to formulate and deliver solutions built on GE’s proven controls and Proficy software products.

“This relationship has been ongoing for over 15 years. Powertech has covered the protection equipment side of the business on substations, with the joint venture looking at automation – PLCs and process automation controllers,” says Arn de Lange, channel manager for GE Intelligent Platforms. “The Africa Automation Show has opened up many doors for showcasing new products and we are very excited to be able to share our technology with the end-users."

Come and visit the team at the Powertech and GE Intelligent Platforms stands F22-23 and meet Dieter Gebert, solutions consultant (l), Arn de Lange, channel manager (middle) and Truida Visser, C&I engineer (r).
