Karma Sensors, a division of Atlas Electro-hydraulic Systems, recently introduced its wide range of process control and automation products at a special event held on board a Boeing 747 at the SAA Museum. Here the company showcased some of its process measurement products and services which are offered to all industrial sectors. Karma represents a range of carefully chosen agencies to meet most applications in manufacturing processes. These include ABB, AI-tek, ASM, KBK, Kriz Sensors, Honeywell, Flowline, Rittal and Yudian. In addition, Karma provides system integration solutions and also designs, builds and installs electrical and process control panels to meet customer requirements. These are all backed up by Atlas’s fully equipped in-house workshop for support and repair. “We are a specialist designer, manufacturer, assembler and installer of electric and process control panels,” said Karma Sensors MD, Richard Mayr.

Atlas is a listed value added reseller for the entire range of ABB products, including a wide range of drives, electrical switchgear and flow, temperature and level process measurement among others, as well as electro-pneumatic positioners. Karma is also the sole South African representative for German company, AI-tec, which specialises in speed sensors and control units, as well as ASM, a specialist supplier of position sensors and inclinometers.
Also in the portfolio are Fema, a German company supplying robust, reliable pressure and flow switches and transmitters, as well as level measurement experts, Flowline; and Honeywell chose Atlas as its South African representative of its electrical range of products, which includes accelerometers, vibration sensors, limit switches and wireless systems, machine safety sensors and pressure and vacuum sensors. Other agencies include mechanical couplings from KBK, high temperature proximity sensors from Kriz Sensors and a range of temperature controllers, transmitters, indicators and totalisers from Yudian.
“We firmly believe that with 25 years of experience in the field, matched with our technical expertise, we can offer the right product for the right application,” concluded Mayr.
