Pneumax expands its footprint in southern Africa
November 2013
News
Pneumax South Africa, a leading pneumatic component supply company and member of the Set Point Group, has grown into a complete solutions provider in the fields of industrial automation, process control and motion & control technology.
Recently, Pneumax expanded its footprint by opening branch offices in Cape Town and Port Elizabeth. “This is the way forward for us as we endeavour to bring our products, services and expertise closer to our customers,” says managing director, Adrian Buddingh.
Pneumax has experienced strong results. The company was selected as the supplier of choice for a number of recent projects requiring pneumatic automation components for water treatment processes, supplying control equipment such as process valves fitted with pneumatic quarter-turn actuators, solenoid valve terminals and numerous other technologies and accessories.
In the mining sector, the company has shown above average and sustainable growth. “We not only have a great product, but a strong and knowledgeable team of individuals servicing this sector. Our people are dedicated to delivering exceptional customer service and it shows in our recent results,” says business development manager, Johan Bester.
Business in the automotive sector has also been good with Pneumax supplying automation components and systems to various OEM’s as well as end users.
Sales across other industry sectors such as food & beverage, packaging and consumer goods have shown stability taking into consideration the current economic climate.
Pneumax has one of the most diverse product and service offerings in the market. Apart from pneumatic automation components, the company also offers customised control products including PLC and HMI systems, components for dust extraction, vibration and acceleration equipment, vacuum technology, training equipment and training courses (pneumatic and PLC) to name just a few.
Pneumax will soon be offering training courses on servo motor selection and will be adding to its product offering the range of SEW-Eurodrive motors and gearboxes. This is thanks to the recent collaboration between the two companies in the Pneudrive Challenge as well as the appointment of Pneumax as a certified re-seller of SEW-Eurodrive products.
